Our Environmental Policy

Pavana GmbH is a company providing highly specialised services in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on the planning, development and implementation of wind energy projects. Through our activities, we make an active contribution to the energy transition and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Our business activities are inseparably linked with responsibility for the environment, climate and society.

Against the backdrop of climate change and the need to protect natural resources, Pavana GmbH is committed to the responsible and sustainable use of resources, as well as to the protection of biodiversity and ecosystems throughout our entire value chain – from project development and implementation through to the operation of wind energy installations.

The Environmental Management System of Pavana GmbH is aligned with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 14001. Its principles and commitments provide the framework for our systematic environmental management and are consistent with our corporate strategy and long-term objectives. Our environmental policy is based in particular on the following principles:

  • Integration of environmental and sustainability aspects into corporate objectives. Environmental and sustainability aspects are an integral part of our strategic and operational objectives. By systematically considering these aspects, we strengthen environmental and ESG standards, promote sustainable value creation and enhance the trust of customers, partners, authorities and the public.
  • Compliance with legislation as a minimum requirement. Compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, permits and other binding obligations is a matter of course for us. In addition, we continually strive to achieve a higher level of environmental protection wherever this is technically, economically and organisationally feasible.
  • Sustainability as a management responsibility. Environmental and climate protection are integral elements of management responsibilities at Pavana GmbH. Managers are responsible for ensuring that environmental objectives are implemented across all areas of the company, for promoting environmentally conscious behaviour and for actively fulfilling their role as role models.
  • Employee involvement and motivation. Our employees are a key success factor in achieving effective environmental protection. We regularly inform them about environmentally relevant topics, objectives and measures and encourage them to actively contribute their ideas and suggestions for improvement.

Through this Environmental Policy, the Management Board, managers and all employees of Pavana GmbH commit themselves to deriving measurable environmental objectives and environmental performance indicators, reviewing them regularly and complying with all applicable legal requirements and other binding obligations relevant to the company. Management ensures that the environmental management system achieves its intended outcomes. Negative environmental impacts are to be avoided wherever possible or reduced to a minimum. Non-conformities and opportunities for improvement are systematically analysed, appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented, and the continual improvement of the environmental management system is thereby ensured.

Furthermore, management is committed to systematically identifying and evaluating environmental risks and opportunities and to planning appropriate measures. These measures are integrated into the environmental management system, implemented and regularly reviewed for their effectiveness.
